FISTA – School for People with Special Needs

Today I want to introduce F.I.S.T.A, a school for people with special needs (adults & children with diverse disabilities).  FISTA schools provide accomodation and schooling for special needs youth throughout Lebanon.  They are located in Daishouniyeh, Mansourieh in a breathtaking location surrounded by trees and hills where students take part in workshops to teach them academic, artistic and social skills.

FISTA has just informed me of two upcoming events to help them raise money towards their cause and would highly appreciate our support.

1.   A fundraising Kermes on Friday May 15th for the schools and an open day for the pubic to come and join them for outdoor activities for the whole family.  See brochure above for more details.

2.  An Annual Fundraising Gala dinner on June 3rd at the Four Seasons Hotel in Beirut.  Tickets cost $100 and are open to the public.  Booking in advance is advised.

Contribution towards the support of FISTA’s students with special needs can also be made by:

  • Sponsoring a scholarship of one student for one year for the amount of $3000
  • Placing an advertisement in the yearly Booklet for between $1000 to $3000
  • Donating gifts for the tombola

For more information about the upcoming events or how you can help FISTA, please feel free to contact them on 04-401255 or 04-401237 or visit them on their websitewww.fista.org.

Future events and activities for FISTA will be posted as an update to this post.
